Within GTS Phase IV, the Nagra-JNC Radionuclide Migration Programme (RMP) (see CRR » RMP Introduction for more details) examined the behaviour of a large suite of radionuclides in the geosphere. Beginning in 1985 and continuing until 1996 (summarised in FRICK et al. 1992, Nagra Technical Report NTB 91-04 and Smith et al., 2001, Nagra Technical Report NTB 00-09 and references therein). The main aim of RMP was testing radionuclide transport models and this was supported by a suite of supporting projects including: site characterisation methodology development, the study of the hydrogeology, hydrochemistry and geochemistry of a rock-water system, detailed structural and mineralogical characterisation of the experimental site (a complex shear zone) and an integrated programme of supporting laboratory and modelling studies.

As part of Nagra and JNC's aim to support the testing of radionuclide transport models, we have decided to make the raw data produced in the RMP project available below free to all who wish to download it. Each run includes the full raw data sets along with a short summary of the experimental setup, field conditions, equipment used etc and ends with a comment from the field team on the success of the test and value to model testing.

Please note that of a total of 90 experimental runs carried out between 1988 and 1994, 68 are reproduced here in full. The remaing 22 runs (14-22, 34-39, 43, 63-64, and 67-70) have not been included as they were carried out as part of equipment or methods tests and, consequently, are of no use to model testing.
